Tibken & Co. has been a well respected Procurement Consultancy for over 15 years and has a combined experience in the industry of over 40 years. Our experienced team is drawn from Europe and Asia and combines experience with attention to detail for all products.

Our scope of work includes the skill to successfully manage the entire procurement process. We join the project team at the beginning in order to input all the necessary and sometimes forgotten details that make the difference between a good project and a fantastic project.

We work with the design team from initial review to materials and equipment specifications, producing budgets and Bills of Quantities, from tendering and purchase order issuance to handover and installation. Our competence comprises all Operating Supplies & Equipment together with all Furniture Fixtures & Equipment.

Led by industry veteran Mr. Peter Tibken and supported by expert professionals, our team consistently transforms ambitious visions into seamless realities. Who I Am

JO CHANINAHRAK  

Initially trained in Electrical Engineering, Jo pivoted her career to become a Procurement Consultant in the luxury hospitality industry, driven by a passion for new challenges and broader horizons. Her journey began as an Executive Assistant at a prestigious 5-star hotel in southern Thailand, where her dedication and organizational skills quickly set her apart.

Relocating to Bangkok, Jo took on her first major project, working alongside the esteemed Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok team. Her exceptional performance led to numerous opportunities, and she became a key contributor to the successful launch of multiple luxury hotel brands across Asia, including projects in Indonesia, the UAE, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

Jo’s portfolio also includes boutique hotels in Koh Samui and Siem Reap, demonstrating her versatility and deep industry knowledge. With over 20 successful international projects, Jo has built a reputation for excellence, reliability, and strategic insight. Her leadership inspires confidence and fosters long-term, trustworthy partnerships, making her an invaluable asset in delivering world-class procurement solutions.

Peter tibken

Peter graduated as a professional hotelier in 1989, beginning his career with diverse roles within the hotel industry. He later earned a degree in Hotel Business Economics and specialized in procurement through an “International Buying”course at the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

In 2003, Peter founded Tibken Associates in Germany, quickly establishing a strong international presence. The company expanded rapidly, opening offices in Bangkok and Bali to better serve global clients.

With extensive expertise in hotel operations, Peter possesses in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procuring all operating supplies, FF&E, and furnishings for hotel projects worldwide. His comprehensive experience and strategic approach position him as a trusted leader in hospitality procurement.

During my career as Executive Director of Development at Istithmar World (IW) in Dubai I was responsible for the successful delivery (design & construction & operations) and implementation of various hotels owned by IW around the world.

In this context I met Peter Tibken of Tibken & Associates in 2005 re: Djibouti Kempinski Palace Hotel (DKPH) as the hotel was built in 9 months incl land reclamation from sea. The 5 star hotel incorporated 200 rooms + conference centre for 1000 delegates + all day restaurant + café + bars etc. The hotel was initially planned to accommodate COMESA conference incl various Presidents & VIP’s across Africa in 2006. At the peak of construction there were 3,500 workers. Following a competitive tender Tibken & Associates were commissioned for the full implementation and delivery of Operating Services & Equipment (OS&E) to Kempinski standards. Due to the compressed & committed timeframe of COMESA opening and Djibouti location all OS&E items had to be either shipped or air freighted and time at Djibouti port or airport had to be kept to a minimum of 3 days in order to meet COMESA date. Tibken & Associates team worked tirelessly and went beyond the call of duty to successful delivery for COMESA opening and beyond. To this day the Djibouti Kempinski Palace Hotel is the premiere hotel in Djibouti.

In 2010 I was in charge of W Bangkok Hotel(400 rooms, restaurant & bars etc ) and during my stay at Siam Kempinski I happened to meet Peter Tibken who at that time was doing OS&E for Siam Kempinski Hotel & Residences. Following a competitive tender process & interviews Tibken & Associates were selected to provide complete OS&E services to Starwood standards. A key factor from the Owner’s viewpoint was to provide possible cost savings where possible but yet still meet Starwood standards. Peter and his team provided the Owner with reasonable cost savings.The Tibken & Associates team were onsite for last 6 months before soft opening in 2012.

In 2017 our paths crossed again as I came out of retirement to be Owner’s Representative for the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh(HRPP). Again, following a competitive tender process Tibken & Associates were selected to provide complete OS&E services for HRPP. Due to the worldwide pandemic the HRPP was finally opened in 2021. Peter and his team again successfully delivered.
